Rosemary "Rosie" Jolene Schoning

Rosemary Jolene Schoning, the daughter of Luverne and Marie (Grady) Johnson was born February 26, 1948 in Sioux City, IA. Her childhood years were spent in the Terril, IA area, where she attended school and graduated from Terril High School in 1966. 

 Rosemary married Mike Schoning on March 10, 1967, to this union, they had 5 boys, they later divorced. She lived her adult life in Dickens, IA where she drove a school bus for Terril Schools for 30 years. She also worked as a telemarketer and janitor for the school. Rosemary enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, listening to birds, card-club, following her kids sports, and especially spending time with her kids and grandkids.

 Rosemary passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at SPARC in Spencer, IA, at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lawrence Johnson.

 Left to cherish her memory are her 5 children, Mike (Shelley) Schoning of Spencer, IA, Matt (Brenda) Schoning of Spencer, IA, Kenneth Schoning of Milford, IA, Kevin Schoning of Fairmont, MN, and Darren Schoning of Everly, IA; 5 grandchildren, Emma, Darian, Megan, Grace, and Cash; one sister, Lynn Davis of Jacksonville, FL; other relatives and many friends.
