Ruth Knephoff

Ruth Knephoff, the daughter of Kenneth and Jeanetta (Jessop) Green was born September 23, 1937, in Stuart, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Winterset, Iowa, and Royal, Iowa, where she attended school. Ruth moved to Stockton, California in 1974, where she worked several jobs including Big Valley Aviation. She married Donald Knephoff on February 14, 1987, in Stockton, California. They moved to Arkansas before returning to Spencer. Ruth enjoyed gardening, traveling, crocheting, knitting and especially spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She was a member of the SOROPTIMIST group. Ruth passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; one daughter, Lori; two brothers, Bud and Larry Green; and three grandsons, Eric, Bryon, and Kenny. Left to cherish her memory are 7 children: Sharon of Houston, TX, Linda of Greenwood, SC, Douglas (Michelle) of Algona, IA, Duane of Spencer, IA, Rita (Jamie) of Everly, IA, Donny (Kay) of Royal, IA, and JoAnn (Mike) of Harrison, ID; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ilene (Terry) of Newton, IA, and Mary of Storm Lake, IA; many other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 18, at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
