Samuel Crosser, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and dear friend to all, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2017, at Northshire Care Facility in Spencer, Iowa. Sam was born on July 30, 1932, to Milton and Hilda (Jepson) Crosser in Primghar, Iowa. After graduating from Primghar High School in 1950, Sam joined the Air Force as a ground to air radio operator. He married Bonnie (Menke) Crosser, his wife of 65 years on June 7, 1952, in Biloxi, Mississippi. After spending time in Anchorage, Alaska, they returned to their beloved Midwest to raise their family and called Iowa their home.
Sam enjoyed carpentry, fishing, golfing, water skiing and dancing! His passion was spending time with his family and friends.
Sam was predeceased by his father, Milton Crosser; his mother, Hilda Crosser, his sisters Bernice Powers and Ruth Schroeder.
Sam is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bonnie; his son Bob and his wife Debra of Nisswa, Minnesota and Phoenix, Arizona and their two children, Paige and Austin; his daughter, Valerie of Monson, Massachusetts and her three children: Maggie, CJ, and Jamie, and two great-grandchildren, Quinn and Charlie also in Massachusetts.
In lieu of a funeral the family asks that you spend time with your families, enjoy the outdoors and make a toast to enduring friendships lifelong and beyond. Bonnie would enjoy visits from friends and family to continue the relationships built by her and Sam.
