Sandra Jean Igou

March 24, 1946 — March 27, 2013

Sandra Jean Igou, the daughter of Gerrit and Betty (Senn) Roelofsen, was born March 24, 1946 in Lake Park, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Harris, Iowa and later Milford, Iowa, where she received her early education. Sandra married Gale Igou on August 11, 1965 in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Following their marriage, they were stationed in Cheyenne, Wyoming while Gale was in the military. When he was shipped overseas, Sandra moved in with her mother in Milford. After his discharge, they moved to Spirit Lake, until 1969 when they moved to Spencer. Throughout her years in Spencer, she worked at Edward D. Jones for 4 years and later at HyVee for 8 years. Sandra was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer. She was also an active member of the VFW and the American Legion Auxiliary. Sandra enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends, baking goodies and being a homemaker to her family. She passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the age of 67. Sandra was preceded in death by her father; one great grandchild and her stepfather, Shorty Morgan. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Gale Igou of Spencer; her mother, Betty Morgan of Milford; one son, Steve and his wife, Teresa of Mankato, MN; two daughters: Jamie and her husband, Aaron Carpenter of Spencer and Jenni and her husband, Wade Bastman of Greenville, IA; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 2 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer, IA.

VISITATION
A public gathering with the family present will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 1 at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

North Lawn Memorial Park Spencer, IA A lunch and time of fellowship will be held at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer immediately following the graveside services.
