Sarah Kay Ralph

  Sarah Kay (Larson) Ralph was born on September 1, 1952 in Spencer, Iowa to Winton and Maxine (Cook) Larson.  Sarah was raised on a farm southwest of Spencer and graduated from Spencer High School in 1970.  Following graduation, she attended Iowa Lakes Community College and earned a degree in Business.

     On January 6, 1973 Sarah married the love of her life, John T. Ralph and they lived happily together for over 45 years.  It was during this time two beautiful children came in to their lives, Jacob Ki and Kayla Kwi.  They were a special gift through international adoption.  During her working career she was employed at Spencer Hospital, Witco (then Superior) and Maurer Manufacturing in their Human Resource Department as manager until her retirement at age 58.

     Sarah and John enjoyed many activities together which centered around water.  She loved boating and skiing (one year she was skiing on Thanksgiving Day).  John and Sarah loved to travel to warmer climates and visit casinos along the way.  Sarah also loved to volunteer locally at the Dickinson County Nature Center and, while in Arizona, at the Banner Hospital.

     On August 24, 2018, Sarah went to her heavenly home at the age of 65, just days short of her 66^th birthday.  Sarah is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Kayla and her husband, Brandon Wilcoxon and grandchildren:  Lincoln, Jackson, Ethan and Zoe Maxine.  She is also survived by her siblings and their families, plus many relatives and friends.

      In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dickinson County Nature Center.
