Sharon Larson

September 15, 1944 — March 23, 2016

Sharon Larson, the daughter of Clarence and Lila Bumala Hosler, was born September 15, 1944 in Astoria, OR. She received her early education and graduated from the Astoria High School. She then attended Olympia College in Olympia, WA, where she graduated with an L.P.N. Degree. Following college, she worked at the Columbia Hospital in Oregon. Sharon went on a blind date with Larry Larson and later they were married on September 26, 1964 in Astoria, OR. In 1966, they moved to Estherville, Iowa where Sharon worked at the Estherville Hospital and later for Dr. Dawson. In 1973, they moved back to Oregon so Sharon could care for her mother. Then in 1977 they moved to Ames and then to Spencer in 1978 where she worked at the Spencer Hospital for 25 years. In her spare time, Sharon enjoyed riding motorcycles. She also loved spending time with her family. Sharon passed away on March 23, 2016 at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 71. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Larry of Spencer; her two sons: Rob (Darla) Larson and Mike Larson all of Spencer; her grandchildren: Travis (Amber) Larson, Todd (Katie) Larson, Tyler (Lindsey) Larson, T.J. Johnson and Megan O'Brien; great grandchildren: Tyson Larson, Taylor Larson, Aubrey Quail, Rilee Larson, Tanner Larson and Henlee Larson; her sister-in- law, Barbara (Dennis) Schneider of Emmetsburg, IA; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Warner Chapel in Spencer.
