Sheri Hallett

Sheri Ann Hallett was born October 31, 1954 in Sioux Rapids Iowa to Elwyn and Mary Peterson. She spent her early years in Marathon, Iowa and later moved to Spencer where she graduated in 1972. Sheri met Richard Hallett in 1967 at the age of 13 and they have been together ever since. They married on June 9, 1973 in Sacred Heart Church of Spencer. Following their marriage Sheri worked various jobs until her 1st child was born when she was able to become a stay at home mom for both her boys, while helping in the family construction business over many years. She later rejoined the work force working for Cadre in Royal and later Spencer Schools which she very much enjoyed Sheri enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, photography, crafting, reading and teaching, although what brought her the most joy in her life was her family. Her children, husband and grandchildren were the loves of her life and anyone who knew her didn't have to spend much time around her to know it. Sheri passed away at Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, grandparents, several uncles and aunts. She is survived by her husband Richard of Spencer, their children Tony Hallett and his children Jake and Alexa; Corey (Amanda) Hallett and their children Trenton and Taytym, all of Spencer; her sister Lori (Lance) Lundbeck of Royal; her brother Jerry (Georganna) Peterson of Fostoria. Many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many many friends.
