Sherman C. Scharnberg

October 22, 1935 — August 11, 2015

Sherman Charles Scharnberg, the son of Eldo and Helen (Zaiser) Scharnberg was born on October 22, 1935 in May City, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Everly, IA area, where he attended school, graduating from Everly High School in 1954. He then went to Business College in Omaha, NE, before returning to farm in Everly. Sherman married Connie Connor on September 9, 1978 in Spencer, IA. He enjoyed farming, hunting, trap shooting and he did gun-smithing for Southern Archery and himself. Sherman passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the age of 79. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James; and one sister, Marvely Williamson. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Connie of Everly, IA; 2 sons, John Scott of Mercer, MO and Jerry (Tracy) Scharnberg of Gillett Grove, IA; 4 grandchildren, Austin, Dustin, Logan, and KaraJo; other relatives; and many friends.

SERVICES

Funeral services will take place 9:00 A.M., Friday, August 14, at the Warner Funeral Home in Everly.
