Sherry Lee Schomaker

June 30, 1940 — January 19, 2016

of Fort Dodge, Iowa formerly of Spencer. Sherry Lee Schomaker, the daughter of Arthur and Hazel (Olson) Johnson, was born June 30, 1940 in Spicer, MN. Her childhood years were spent in New London, MN, where she received her GED. She later moved to Storm Lake, IA and later Spencer, Iowa, where she attended and graduated from Spencer School of Business. Sherry spent most of her adult life in Spencer, Iowa, where she worked as an accountant for many years and owned her business, Computer Bookkeeping Service for 20 years until her retirement in 2007. In her spare time, she enjoyed her time at home, doing yardwork, reading, going for walks and visiting with and spending time with her family. She passed away at the Ft. Dodge Health and Rehabilitation in Fort Dodge, Iowa on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the age of 75. Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Johnson and her mother, Hazel Hegreberg; one sister, Ione Railson; one brother, Allan Johnson; two sons: Terry and Jeff Dailey and one granddaughter, Tara. Left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Vicky (Charlie) Tuel of Garner, IA; one son, Kevin (Elaine) Dailey of Fort Dodge, IA; one sister, Myrna (Larry) Heck of Sioux Falls, SD; one brother, Ken (Kay) Johnson of New London, MN; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Memorial services will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
