Sheryl (Sherry) Diane Clark finished her race and left this world to receive her Heavenly reward on Saturday, February 2 at 3:30 in the afternoon. She went home to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ and her father Bob Bowman, father-in-law Warren Clark, foster brother Dale Pomeroy, grandparents, and her numerous aunts and uncles. Sherry was born in Emmetsburg on June 22, 1949 and grew up in Ayrshire. She graduated from high school in 1967, got her bachelors degree from Buena Vista in Storm Lake, and her Masters Degree from UNI. She worked 39 years for Spencer High School as a business, typing, shorthand, computer, and careers teacher. In retirement, she volunteered with Atlas of Spencer, and at her church. Sherry enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, watching sports, and volunteering. She is survived by her husband Larry, her mother Marilyn Bowman, her sister Gayle (Steve), her children Ryan (Katherine), Ashley Smith (Ryan), Whitney Smith (Josh), and Blake, her seven grandchildren Hope, Anastasia, Josiah, Joshua, Jordyn, Elijah, and Jayda. She already is dearly missed and her family awaits the Heavenly reunion promised to all who have had their sins washed away by the blood of Jesus.
"...the time has come for my departure.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Now there is in store for me the crown
of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on
that day--and not only to me, but also
to all who have longed for his appearing."
2 Timothy 4: 7-8
