Shirley Ann Kraft

Shirley Ann (Aldred) Kraft, the daughter of George and Mary (Triplett) Aldred, was born April 8, 1932 in Primghar, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Primghar, where she received her education, graduating from Primghar High School. Shirley married Lester Kraft on October 2, 1950 in Worthington, MN. Following their marriage, they continued to live in Primghar, until moving to Pasadena, CA in 1964. They later moved to Benson, MN for 22 years and then Hartley, IA before moving to Spencer. Shirley worked as a waitress for many years after raising the kids. She also worked as a dispatcher for the Swift County, MN Sheriff's Office for six years. She loved fishing and enjoyed many days of great fishing with her husband and family. She also enjoyed spending times with her children and grandkids and working crossword puzzles. She always enjoyed her days of working as a waitress and working with people. She passed away at her home here in Spencer, with her daughters and granddaughter around her on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester; three brothers: 'Ches', Ken and Ronald and two sisters: Velma and Mary Lou. Left to cherish her memory are her two children: Chrissy and her husband, Jim Brackett of Moravia, IA and Kelley and her husband, Mike Casey of Coronado, CA; four grandchildren; two sisters: Dorothy Chambers of Primghar, IA and Mildred Harms of Marcus, IA; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
