Shirley Anna Marie Wede, the daughter of Theodore and Leila Klatt Toft, was born November 25, 1931 in Royal, Iowa. She received her early education and graduated from the Royal High School in 1949.
On October 30, 1950, Shirley married Clarence Andrew Wede at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Royal. Throughout their marriage, they farmed and raised their family. She loved her family dearly and took great pleasure in sharing in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed dancing. Shirley was an active member of the St. Louis Catholic Church and Alter Society.
Shirley passed away on July 21, 2012, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 80. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence on April 6, 1993, one son, Louis Robert Wede, 2 grandsons, Nicholas Wede and Jamie Stockdale, granddaughter Debra Rienfeld, one infant brother, Paul Toft.
Shirley is survived by 6 sons and their wives: Mike (Kathi) of Flandreau, SD, Gary (Theresa) of Sutherland, Jim (Barb) of Mapleton, MN, Joe (Jackie) of Storm Lake, Greg (Diane) of Sutherland and Andy (Colleen) of Flandreau, SD; 5 daughters and husbands: Kathy (Doug) Geerdes of Everly, Karen (Mike) Rienfeld of Primghar, Kris (Dave) Woolston of Sutherland, Kay (Larry) Stockdale of Everly and Kim (Steve) Chalupnik of St. Peter, MN; 39 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; one brother, Don (Judy) Toft of Waynesville, MO; 3 sisters: Gladys (Ell) Fredin of Gilmore City, IA, Mary (Wendell) Harris of Hartley, IA and Judy (Dennis) Benna of Fargo, ND; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Royal.

Will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church beginning at 5:30pm on Monday with the family present from 5:30 to 8:00pm. Catholic Vigil Service will be held at 5:30pm at St. Louis Catholic Church in Royal.
