Shirley Anne Worsfold

Shirley Anne Worsfold, the daughter of Peter and Virginia Nienhaus Schmidt, was born February 6, 1938 in Moline, Illinois. She grew up on a farm near Marshalltown, Iowa, where she graduated from St. Mary's High School. She was united in marriage to Ronald L. Worsfold on June 23, 1956 in Marshalltown. After moving to Spencer, Iowa, Shirley was a homemaker and later went to work part-time for J.C. Penney and Johnson Elementary School, where she enjoyed being around the children. Shirley passed away at the Spencer Hospital in Spencer, Iowa on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at the age of 68. She was preceded in death by her parents: Peter and Virginia Schmidt and her brother, Kenneth Schmidt. Shirley is survived by her husband, Ronald, a union blessed with four children: Curtis and wife, Elizabeth of Blair, Nebraska, Cheryl and husband, Steven Schoof of Ankeny, Iowa, Joel and wife, Linette of Johnston, Iowa and Ronda and husband, Randy Bern of Urbandale, Iowa; six grandchildren and three brothers: Richard, Roger and Joseph; other relatives and many friends.

VISITATION
Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. Friday with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Friday night. There will be a Catholic Vigil Service at 6:00 P.M. Friday night at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
