Steve Vern Wright

Steven Vern Wright, the son of Vern and Vivian (Carlson) Wright, was born August 17, 1952 in Storm Lake, Iowa.  His childhood years were spent in the Sioux Rapids, Dickens and Spencer areas, where he received his education, graduating from South Clay High School.

     Steve married Kathryn Kliegl on December 2, 1978 in Spencer, Iowa.  After their marriage, they lived in Spencer, where Steve worked as a Route Sales Rep for Budweiser for many years.  He later worked as a Route Salesman for Old Home Bread and most recently as a truck driver for Norgaard Sand and Gravel until his retirement in August of 2016.  He loved spending time with his family, playing cards, riding his motorcycle, and watching sports.

     He passed away at his home in Spencer, Iowa following a long illness on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the age of 66.  Steve was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents and his in laws.

     Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kathy of Spencer; his children: Stephanie (Jay) Domanski, Angela (Michael) Nairn, Christopher (Jessica) Wright and Margaret (Neil) Scharnberg; 4 grandchildren: Mikaylee Nairn, Brooklynn, Emmersyn and Oliver Scharnberg; his brother, Tim (Tania) Wright; a sister-in-law, Julie (Michael) Kliegl; a brother-in-law, Bob Kliegl; other relatives and many friends.
