Stuart (Stu) A. Seely, 78, passed away on December 13th, 2015 at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Stu was born October 7th, 1937 to Edith Iseminger and Sidney (Stu) Seely. During his early years, he lived on a dairy farm near Manson, Iowa. After graduating from Manson High School in 1955, he joined the United States Air Force. Stu loved the time he spent in the Air Force, flying C-130's during the Vietnam War, and later, around the world. Stuart retired from EATON Corporation after 15 years. More recently, Stu spent his free time flying single engine planes he built with friends. He even found time to fly the B-17 bomber Aluminum Overcast at airshows around the country. Stu was very generous man always willing to help family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edith and Sidney; first wife, Joann; and daughter-in-law, Shelley Seely. Stuart is survived by his wife, Jeannie; sisters, Shirley (Marland) Temple, Karen (Dennis) Lord; son, Stacy; daughter, Julie; step-children, Renee Hegel (Dave), Steve (Christine) Sand, and Brian (Alana) Sand; grandchildren, Spencer (Ami) Seely, Sara Seely, Chris (Morgan) Hegel, Jon (Sadie) Hegel, Brennan Sand, Haley Sand, Sawyer Sand, Ruby Sand, and Vivienne Sand; great-grandchild, Reghan Hegel; along with many other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00P.M., Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Faith Pentecostal Church in Spencer.
