Tammy Marie Grothe

     Tammy (Woodford) Grothe was born on September 3, 1975 to Dale and Karen Woodford of Webb, Iowa.  She was raised on a farm northeast of Webb. She attended Lincoln Elementary School in Spencer, Iowa.  She graduated from Spencer High School in 1994.   She attended Iowa Lakes Community College.

     She worked various jobs in the Spencer area, including The Hotel, and Burger King. She also worked at Rembrandt Enterprises until her illness prevented her from working.  She was a very dedicated and loyal employee. She married Steve Grothe on May 31, 2003 in Spencer, IA.  They made their home in Sioux Rapids, Iowa.  She enjoyed gathering with family and friends, shopping, gardening and music.  

     Tammy passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her father (Dale Woodford) and father-in-law (Paul Grothe) and her grandparents (Ed and Genevieve Baschke) and (Kenneth and Lois Woodford). She is survived by her husband, Steve Grothe; her mother Karen Woodford.  Her sister, Julie (Paul) Nielsen and nephew Ryan Nielsen.  Mother-in-law Carolyn Grothe, Brother-in-law, Mike (Susanne) Grothe and family, Sister-in-law, Paula (Rick) Wienhold and family. A special aunt, Elaine (John) Weir, many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends will miss Tammy.
