Terrance Lee Bean was born August 18, 1941 in Brown County at Comfrey, MN to Richard and Mildred (Metteer) Bean. He was baptized in 1948 along with his sisters and father in their home in Blue Earth, MN.
He attended schools in Blue Earth, Mn, Parkersburg, IA, and in Butterfield, MN. Lee enlisted in the Air Force and received an Honorable Discharge after 2 years. He was married to Marlene Anderson on September 1, 1962. These early years Lee drove truck for Bill Veach long distance. During this time they lived in the St. James, Butterfield and Mt. Lake areas. They were blessed with 5 daughters and one son. In 1979 they moved to Wyoming. Lee worked in the uranium mines and on road construction.
On June 21, 2003, Lee married Ronda Lage in Everly, Iowa. Following their marriage, Lee and Ronda and their daughter, Cheyenne, remained in Everly.
Lee was an over the road truck driver, working for various companies, his most recent employer being Kardels out of Spencer, Iowa.
Lee enjoyed camping with his family and friends and especially enjoyed visiting Yellowstone National Park. Lee was involved with the racing life also. He enjoyed watching and driving and working on race cars, especially the sprint cars, this was a lifelong passion. Lee enjoyed watching Cheyenne work with and show her horses, and was always there when grandson Brayden was showing his horse also. Lee's favorite past time was sitting with grandson Brayden watching 'toons' or going to Barb's for coffee.
After a brief illness and quadruple cardiac bypass surgery, Lee passed away on April 29, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa at the age of 74. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant children, Bradley and Marsha, sisters: Beverly (Bean) Lenning and Rena (Bean) Freese. At the time of his death, Lee became an organ donor, donating his corneas so that others could have the gift of sight.
He is survived by his wife, Ronda Bean of Everly, daughters Cheyenne Bean (Zach Wissbaum), Annette Braaten (Bret), Pam Barnhill (J), Terri Garnhart (Paul) and Kathy Bean, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Joyce and her husband Gene Lenning.
