Terry Lyn Peters, the son of Earl and Inez (Friedrichsen) Peters, was born on September 18, 1948, in Hartley, IA. He was baptized and confirmed at the United Church of Christ in Hartley. He received his early education at the grade school in Moneta and then went on to high school in Everly where he graduated. After high school, he attended Iowa Lakes Community College.
Throughout his life he worked for Group 21, a commercial feedlot in Sutherland and then for Ag Partners as a grain merchandiser. Terry also farmed during this time and did some auctioneering on occasion, like helping with the church benefit auctions.
On May 26, 1990, Terry married LaVonne Zahrt in Everly at the Hope Lutheran Church. Terry enjoyed playing golf at the Meadowbrook Golf Course in Hartley, fishing and hunting, playing pool and was a good bowler in his younger years. He also liked to grill and entertain his family and friends.
Terry passed away on June 29, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 64. He is preceded in death by his father and a daughter, Sonja.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, LaVonne of Everly; his two sons: Chad of Everly and Michael of Nashua, NH; one stepson, Chris (Kelli) Zahrt of Shellrock, IA; 8 grandchildren: Sonja, Kristina, Kiley, Nathan, and Malone Peters, Jami, Tyson and Link Zahrt; his mother, Inez of Hartley; one brother, Jack and his wife, Diane of Bellville, IL; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at the Hope Lutheran Church in Everly.

Visitation will begin after 12noon on Tuesday, with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M., Tuesday evening at the Warner Funeral Home in Everly.
