Terry Ray Brugman, the son of Karl and Eva (Olhausen) Brugman, was born January 17, 1938 in Webb, Iowa. He was the 8th child of ten children. He was raised on a farm near Sioux Rapids, IA, where he received his education, graduating from Sioux Rapids High School. He entered the military and served with the US Navy from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1959. After his service to his country, he moved to South Dakota, where he worked in insurance sales for four years and later worked for the SD State Highway Department for two years. Terry worked for Armour Meats for 14 years in Huron, SD. and Twin Cities area. He continued his career in the meat brokerage business, working for Tri Meats for the last 13 years until his passing.
He moved to Spencer in 2001, where he resided until the time of his death. Terry was a member of the Moose Lodge and the VFW. His biggest passions were golf and spending time with his grandchildren.
Terry passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the age of 74. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: James, Keith and Karl Brugman; two sisters-in-law; Marcy and Marilyn and brothers-in-law; Gene Scheiber and Bill Williams.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Kyle (Rose) Brugman of Algoquin, IL.; his daughter, Shelly (Joseph) Eisenreich-Ubalde of Olathe, KS; three grandchildren: Katie Rose Browne, Amanda Ellen Eisenreich and Evan Robert Eisenreich; his siblings: Darrell Brugman of Spencer, IA, Wayne (Elizabeth) Brugman of Sun City, AZ, Donna Scheiber of Spencer, IA, Patricia Williams of San Jose, CA, Ronald (Sheila) Brugman of Mesa, AZ and Connie (Ken) Scogland of Boulder, CO; two sisters-in-law; Beverly Brugman of Scottsdale, AZ and Janice Brugman of West Union, IA and many relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the First United Church in Sioux Rapids.
Military services will be conducted by American Legion - Graeber-Rowe Post #394 of Sioux Rapids, Iowa at the graveside.
