Thelma Maxine McCullah, the daughter of James Peter and Leota Belle (Starkey) Jensen, was born June 12, 1934, in Graettinger, IA. She was raised and received her early education there, graduating from Graettinger High School. After graduation, Thelma worked at the dime store and lived with her grandparents.
On June 25, 1955, Thelma married Marlin "Mac" McCullah in Graettinger, IA. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Algona and Iowa Falls before settling in Spencer in 1965. Thelma enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her family. While in Spencer, she worked at Wholesale Market, Marvin Burke Studio, White Drug, and occasionally helped at Shopper's Supply with inventory. Thelma was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends, doing word search, watching her favorite show, Dancing with the Stars, planting her flower garden and making Christmas candy, but most of all she loved to be with her family.
Thelma passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the Spencer Hospital, at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, 'Mac' in 2001; infant son, Wesley; great-grandson, Kyler Igou; brother, Merle Jensen; and sister, Marcella Eaton.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Mark and wife, Patty of Fort Dodge, IA; two daughters: Julie Arcand and husband, Francis, and Laurie Patrick and husband, Steve, all of Spencer, IA; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Roy Jensen and wife, Berniece of Dunnell, MN; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will 11:00 A.M., Thursday, April 17, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer.
