     Thomas James Slawson the son of William McGrath and Evelyn Elsie (Hagedorn) Slawson, was born on May 23, 1946 in Long Beach, CA. He was raised in Everly, where he attended school and graduated from Everly High School, in 1964. Tom entered into the military on April 12, 1966. He served as a Construction Machine Operator in Germany. He was honorably discharged on April 11, 1969.

     On September 15, 1983, Tom married Cody Neu Johnson. Their first child Cannon was 1984, followed by Caity in 1987. Tom was self-employed most of his life after starting Slawson Auto Repair in 1984 and also Countryside Towing years later. Tom enjoyed anything that had to do with mechanics of cars and computers. He developed a love for photography, in which he enjoyed just going for drives to photograph nature. Stolly’s was one of his favorite places to go.

     Tom passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at his home at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bill Jr.

     Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cody of Spencer; his three children: Chris Slawson of Arizona, Cannon Slawson and his wife, Becky of Las Vegas, NV and Caity Pike and her husband, Josh of Lindstrom, MN; his stepson, Matt Lair and his wife, Missy of Spencer; five grandchildren; his brother, Rich Slawson and his wife, Sharon of Spencer; his sister, Mollie Frawley and her husband, Tony of Tallahassee, FL; his sister-in-law, Phyllis Slawson; many other relatives and friends.
