Thomas Joe Lachner, the son of Charles and Maida Sanders Lachner was born November 25, 1955 in Spencer, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Spencer area where he attended school, graduating from Spencer High School in 1974. Tom joined the U.S. Navy and served for 4 years before his Honorable Discharge. On January 1, 1981, Tom married Ramona Curtis at the First Christian Church in Spencer. He attended school at Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, IA, and worked at The Hotel in Spencer as the Assistant General Manager. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years and liked working on computers and playing computer games. Tom passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013 at his home at the age of 57. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles "Doug" Lachner. Left to cherish his memory, are his wife, Ramona of Royal, IA; 2 sons, Grant and Walter Lachner of Spencer, IA; one brother, Dennis Lachner of Spencer, IA; one sister, Nancy Schroeder of Chandler, AZ; Navy blood brother, (Don) Lobo Konemann of Wisconsin; other relatives and many friends. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been set up in Tom's name.
SERVICES
Memorial services will take place 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 28,at First Christian Church in Spnecer.

VISITATION
Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at First Christian Church in Spencer. Military services will be conducted by the American Legion Glen Pedersen Post #1 of Spencer. Masonic services will be conducted by Evening Shade Lodge #312 A.F. & A.M. of Spencer.
