Velma Nord, 91, of Peterson, IA, passed away February 5, 2009, at Sunset Knoll Nursing Home in Aurelia, IA. She was formerly of Evanston, IL. Velma is survived by her husband, Ralph; sons: Thomas and William and his wife Bernadette of Peterson, IA; grandchildren: Suzanna, Bradley, Craig, Christopher, and Kimberly; step-grandchildren: Axel, Rebekah, and Johnathan; and one great-grandson, Thomas. A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church in Peterson, IA, at 10:30 A.M., on Friday, February 13, 2009.
