Victor George Weisbrod

Victor George Weisbrod, the son of Donald and Mollie (Struve) Weisbrod, was born November 6, 1926 by Royal, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in the Linn Grove and Rossie, Iowa areas, where he received his early education. Vic married LaVonne Lenhart on February 22, 1948 in Spencer, IA. After their marriage they farmed near Webb from 1951 until their retirement in 1987. After moving to town, he worked for the Spencer Fairgrounds doing maintenance as well as working part time for Pro Crop for several years. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Spencer. They enjoyed many trips to Two Harbors, MN. They also enjoyed fishing and made many fishing trips to Canada with friends. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He passed away at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, Iowa on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the age of 88. Vic was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lucille Phipps and one brother, Weldon Weisbrod. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, LaVonne of Spencer; one son, Dennis and his wife, Victoria of Dickens, IA; two daughters: Vickie Lawrence and her husband, Randy of Olathe, KS and Reva Anderson of Emmetsburg, IA; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
