Victor Hales

January 24, 1956 — December 20, 2014

Victor Lee Hales, the son of Vivian Marion and Ellen Louise (Watkins) Hales was born January 24, 1956 in Spencer, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Clay County area. He attended Terril schools, graduating from Terril High School in 1974. Victor went to trade school in Sheldon, IA. He went to work for himself, as a carpenter and did some custom farm work. He enjoyed woodworking, rebuilding cars and tractors, gardening, and his dog Dudley. Victor passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 58. He was preceded in death by his father, Marion; both sets of grandparents; and one uncle, Louis Watkins. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Louise of Arnolds Park, IA; one sister, Vickie (Bob) McBain of Le Grand, IA; nieces; nephews; other relatives; many friends; and his faithful companion, Dudley.
