Viola Marie Mcguire

Viola Marie McGuire, the daughter of Edward Charles and Margaret May (Herring) Ryan, was born January 22, 1913 in Elk Point, South Dakota. Her childhood years were spent in Elk Point, where she received her education.
She was married to Thomas Leonard McGuire on September 15, 1948 in Elk Point. They farmed in the Beresford, SD area and later near Storm Lake and Peterson, Iowa and later Royal, Iowa. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Royal.
Viola passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Wayne Thomas and her husband, Thomas in 1980; two brothers: Eddie and Leonard Ryan and one sister, Lucille Reistoffer.
Left to cherish her memory are five sons: Dale and his wife, Beverly McGuire of Spencer, Donald McGuire and Linda of Spencer, Garold McGuire & Edna Rigby of Spencer, Gene and his wife, Debra McGuire of Spencer and Ronald and his wife, Shelly McGuire of Spencer, IA; one daughter, Doris and her husband, Dennis Ganzevoort of Ruthven, IA; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday, March 12, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer.
