Violet Johanna Wittfoth was born to Jack & Johanna Behrends on August 28, 1928 in Spencer, Iowa. She was raised and completed her schooling in Everly, Iowa.
On July 2, 1950, she married Louis John Wittfoth in Pipestone, MN. They had two children: a daughter, Jolene and a son, John. They lived and raised their family for five years around Pipestone and Holland, MN. After this time period, they then moved to Beaver Bay, MN. This is where Violet enjoyed most of her marriage and they lived in Beaver Bay for 38 years.
Violet worked very hard most of her life mostly working as a waitress, which she loved. She had many hobbies with crafts, crocheting and gardening. She also enjoyed playing cards and bingo with many friends and she always helped with church activities.
Violet passed away at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer on Friday, January 5, 2007 at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, an infant brother and one sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Jolene Hollander and her husband, Raymond of Spencer, IA; a son, John Wittfoth of Spencer 2 grandsons: Jason Hollander and his wife, Christine and Steven Hollander both of Spencer, IA and one step great granddaughter, Amanda Brustares; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the First Christian Church in Spencer.
