Wally Fred Martwick

Wally Fred Martwick, the son of Edward and Mary Martwick was born March 10, 1933, in Stewart, MN. He served in the Korean War and trained as a Paratrooper. In 1954, he married Norma Noteboom in Madelia, MN, and had four children. In 1961, he married Sally Patrick in Vici, OK, and had two more children. Wally worked over 30 years for Henkel & McCoy Telephone Company starting as a lineman. He was contracted out through various telephone companies in many different states until retiring in 1993. Wally and his wife, Sally eventually returned to Iowa in 1998, making their home in Spencer. Wally loved to fish, hunt, travel and played a mean game of hearts. Wally passed away at his home in Spencer on Aug 18, 2015, at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sally in 2014; five siblings; daughter; son-in-law; daughter-in-law; grandson; brother-in-law; sister-in-law; and a mother-in-law. He is survived by four sons: Mark Martwick and wife, Barb of MO, Myron Martwick and wife, Callie of MN, Doug Martwick of MN, and Zac Martwick and wife, Ellen of TX; two daughters: Cheryl Stratton of MD and Yolanda Baker of KS; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous brother and sister-in-laws; nephews and nieces; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Friday, August 21, 2015, at the First Congregational Church in Peterson.
