Wilhelmina Bick Yun Dailey, the daughter of Henry and Sarah (Len) Chong was born July 29, 1931 in Honolulu, HI. Her childhood years were spent in Honolulu where she attended school. After graduating high school, she worked at the Dole Pineapple Plant.
Wilhelmina married Leroy Dailey on September 3, 1966 at her parents house in Aiea, HI. They lived in numerous places while Leroy was in the U.S. Navy. They moved to Gillett Grove, IA where they farmed and she worked as a homemaker and raised their kids. They also worked together building fences for Iowa Lakes Community College farm. Wilhelmina enjoyed embroidering, reading, word finds and traveling.
Wilhelmina passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Northshire, at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Henrietta Averio and Winifred Kanoho; one brother Teddy and 2 other brothers.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Leroy of Gillett Grove, IA; 3 children, Penny Jerome of Seattle, WA, Troy Dailey of Nevada, IA, and Michele Dailey of Prescott, AZ; 2 grandchildren, Marissa (Steven) Welch of Collins, IA, and Shelby Dailey of Mesa, AZ; 3 great-grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
