William David Mincer

April 27, 1930 — July 2, 2006

William Bill David Mincer was born in Clay County to Orlo and Winnie Carr Mincer, April 27, 1930. His childhood years were spent in Spencer, where he received his education graduating from Spencer High School in 1949. He spent 27 years in the military, (Army, Marines, and Air Force). Of the three branches, the majority of the service was in the US Air force. He was extremely proud of his service as a flight mechanic and later as a flight engineer on various aircraft, his favorite being the KC 97, of which he built a replica, and placed it in his yard. William married Patricia Pat Weisbrod June 16, 1950 in Jackson MN. He is survived by his wife, his son, David and wife, Janet of Marysville CA, and two daughters, Filomena Lee of Rhode Island, and Karen Cox and husband Howard of Iowa City, IA., two brothers Robert Bob and wife Betty of Spencer, Theodore Ted and wife Shirley of Bella Vista AK, three sisters Lola Fiddelke of Des Moines, IA, Kaye Mc Martin and husband Jim of Oakland IA, and Marvel Caskey and husband Bob of Council Bluffs, IA., Mother-in-law, Alice Weisbrod, two brothers-in-law, Dave Weisbrod and wife Barbara of Cincinnati OH and Wen Weisbrod and wife, Shirley of Littleton CO., 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cherished friends. Preceding his in death were his father, mother and brother-in-law, Richard Fiddelke, and father-in-law, Forrest Weisbrod. Bill was a Sunday School teacher and deacon at Ninth Street Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion. The most important thing to Bill was his relationship to God, his family,friends, church and country.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the Ninth Street Baptist Church in Spencer.
