William Edward Engelkes

December 16, 1941 — June 15, 2017

William Edward Engelkes, the son of Hank and Irene (Houwen) Engelkes was born December 16, 1941 in Sibley, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in the Sibley area, where he grew up and attended school. William married Lillian Osterson on September 4, 1964 in Worthington, MN. He owned and operated a body shop. William then worked for Shine Bros. for 25 years until his retirement. He was an outdoors man and enjoyed hunting and fishing. William passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at his home, at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Mary Peters. William left behind his wife Lillian; 6 children, Judy, Billy Jo, Jimmy, Mary, David, and April; one step-child, Tinna; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; other relatives and many friends.
