William 'Woody' H. Woodall

November 16, 1923 — March 5, 2013

William Henry Woodall, the son of Phillip and Lena (Toft) Woodall, was born on November 16, 1923, on a farm near Royal in Clay County. He was raised in the Royal area, where he attended country school and later graduated from Royal High School. After his schooling, he worked for his uncle for several years and later he began farming with his brother on a farm near Royal. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal. Woody always stayed busy, enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent a lot of time with his family, especially his brothers and sisters and his nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed baking chocolate cakes. Woody was a very kind man who was always willing to help people. Woody passed away at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer, Iowa on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the age of 89. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Burdette and a sister-in-law, Wanda Woodall. Left to cherish his memory are his two brothers: Ted and Chris Woodall of Royal, Iowa; two sisters: Norma Sanders and her husband, John of Dallas, Texas and Phyllis Rukes of Spencer, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal.
