Yvonne June Pullen, the daughter of Henry and Clara (Hvam) Tuttle, was born May 31, 1935, in Spencer, Iowa. She received her schooling in Spencer where she graduated from Spencer High School.
Following graduation, Yvonne worked at A&M Laundry in Spencer. On January 21, 1954, Yvonne was united in marriage to Keith Pullen in Jackson, MN while he was on leave from the military. They resided in Spencer for nine years until moving to Fort Dodge, Iowa in 1963.
Yvonne was a devoted mother who stayed at home raising her children. She then went to work for Olson Jewelry part time for 30 years, retiring in 2005. Yvonne enjoyed taking pictures, playing cards, and watching sports. She was a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan, but most of all she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed being around her family.
On June 5, 2007, Yvonne passed away at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa, at the age of 72, following a courageous 16-month battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers: Walter and Edward.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Keith Pullen of Fort Dodge, IA; two daughters: Jennifer (Terry) Jacobson of Sauk Rapids, MN, Kimberly (Jim) Braun of Newtown, CT; five grandchildren: Jill and her fianc� Morgan, Laura, and Sara Jacobson of Sauk Rapids, MN and Ashley and Grant Braun, of Newtown, CT; three brothers: Marlo Tuttle of Durant, IA, Francis (Buzz) Tuttle and his wife Kathleen of Omaha, NE, David (DeeAnn) Tuttle of Persia, IA; three sisters: Lorraine (Sis) Birchard of Ruthven, IA, Karoline (Lyle) Davis of Ayrshire, IA, Judy (Marlyn) McClain of Council Bluffs, IA; one sister in law, Ruth Tuttle of Florida; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2006, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
