Yvonne L. Roberts

Yvonne L. Roberts, the daughter of Manuel George and Margaret Liliana (Apau) Borge, was born May 7, 1947 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her childhood years were spent in Hawaii, where she received her early education. She was baptized in the Catholic faith. She met her husband John Roberts while he was serving in the Navy and stationed in Hawaii. Shortly thereafter they moved to Royal where they raised their four children. Yvonne loved life. Her laughter was contagious. She enjoyed spending time with her children and adored her grandchildren. She loved music and enjoyed watching movies. Yvonne was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary VFW and American Legion Auxiliary. She was a lifetime member of the 600 Pin Club from when she and John were avid bowlers. Yvonne passed away unexpectedly at her home in Royal on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the age of 64. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter in January of 1976; and her father-in-law. Left to cherish her memory are her husband John Roberts of Royal; her children: Debra and her husband Greg Kingery of Spencer, Marchelle and her husband Curt Denker of Sioux City, IA, Elliot and his wife Jen Roberts of Omaha, NE and Liliana and her husband Tim Karaus of Omaha, NE; 8 grandchildren; two sisters: Diane Harrington of San Diego, CA, Sandra Borge and Jacky Torres of Kailua, HI; two brothers: Curtis and his wife Sherrilynn Borge of Kaneohe, HI and Charles and his wife Vickie Borge of Aiea, HI; her Aunt and Uncle Virginia and Harold Lynch of Honolulu, HI; mother-in-law Myrle Roberts of Royal, IA; other relatives and friends.
