Lloyd Theodore Senne, the son of Arthur and Elizabeth (Schwieger) Senne, was born on May 24, 1932 in Fairmont, MN.  His childhood years were spent on a farm northwest of Fairmont, MN, where he received his education, graduating from Fairmont High School in 1950. He was baptized on May 24, 1932 and confirmed in 1946 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairmont.

Lloyd married Rosella “Rosie” Meyer on February 21, 1954 in Welcome, MN. After their marriage, he continued farming on the family farm for 6 years until moving to Spencer, Iowa in 1960.  Lloyd worked for Spencer Foods Packing Company from 1960 to 1969 while working part time as a salesman for Electrolux.  In 1969 Lloyd went to work full-time for Electrolux becoming Branch Manager in 1970 until 1988. While Manager, Lloyd helped this Office win several Sales Cups.

Lloyd worked as a district sales rep for AAA Sales from 1988 to 1994.  He then worked at Witco as a machine operator until their closing in 1997.  In 1997, Lloyd then went to work part-time as a Purveyor of Therapeutic Libation (clerk) at C’s Liquor Store in Spencer and also worked from 2000 to 2001 for Electrolux until permanently retiring in 2016 from C’s at the age of 84.

Rosie did daycare in their home for several years and Lloyd loved spending time with the kids. He was a past member of First English Lutheran Church in Spencer, a current member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer since 1997 and a member of the MOB (Men of Bethany) bible study group. Lloyd & Geraldine were also members of Spencer Area Action Club where Lloyd really enjoyed selling their fundraiser. Lloyd enjoyed playing softball and bowling for many years and was inducted into the Spencer Bowling Hall of Fame. Lloyd also loved to Polka.

Following Rosie’s death in 2010, Lloyd married Geraldine Meyer on February 13, 2012 at his home in Spencer and they continued to live there until the time of his death.

Lloyd passed away at his son’s home in Rochester, Minnesota on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the age of 88.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosie in 2010; his daughter, Kathy Jean Lundstrom; brother, Orville Senne; sisters, Neva Rosenberg, Burnette Olson, Gloria Durango and an infant sister.

Remembering all the good times with Lloyd on earth and celebrating his eternity with Jesus our Lord & Savior, left to cherish his memory are his wife, Geraldine of Jackson, MN; one son, James Lee (Roxanne) Senne of Rochester, MN; step-daughter Bernice (Terry) Fife of Jackson, MN; 6 grandchildren: Joe (Nicole), Kyle (Ashley), Tom (Becca) & Aaron (Allison) Senne,  Abby (Josh) Roetman and Katie Lundstrom; a son-in-law, Randy (Jill) Lundstrom of Ames, IA; 10 great-grandchildren: Elsa, Amelia, Connor, Theo, Gabriella, Scarlett, Vincent & Neva Senne, Lauren & Landon Roetman; plus other relatives and many friends.
