“To Steve's family:
Steve and I were working closely together on various projects very recently, and his passing was quite the shock for our small team. His desire to always keep improving himself and his processes was inspiring, and his extremely thorough approach to handling work duties was incredible. I'm honored to have been his work colleague, and I wanted to let the family know what a great person he was to work with, and a great guy to just talk to about various non-work topics. I cherished every conversation with him, and he'll forever be missed.”

“To Steve's daughters and family: I am so deeply sorry to hear of your loss. I was lucky enough to be aligned to Steve as a sales and presales team out of the Newton office but most importantly, Steve was a good friend. From clients, co-workers, down to the people he'd come across day to day - everyone couldn't help but smile while around him. I always told him he was the best engineer I had ever had the pleasure of working with and that still holds true to this day. He will be so incredibly missed and my heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all.”

“Steve was the BEST. When I first started at EMC, Steve was teh first SE that I met. He took the time to explain how I could use my role to help bridge gaps and build relationships internally and with customers. I viewed him as a mentor. Over the past few years, when either of us needed anything, even if we weren't on the same accounts, we could count on each other to get what was needed. I am a better person for knowing Steve and he will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family. ”

“To Steve’s Daughters,
May your Dad’s memory be eternal. What a good guy Steve was! He was one of the first smiling faces I met in 1981 when I took on the IT profession, and he was still there when I left in 2009. I hope your sadness at his departure will transition quickly to fond memories. Our sympathies for your loss!!!! Michelle & Peter Hoefler”

“Steve was my Systems Engineer when I got hired at EMC almost 9 years ago. He was my wingman for many years as we traveled to sales meetings all over together. He showed me the ropes from day one - and over the years I saw how he was the first to take all new reps under his wing. Steve was very respected in our industry both with his customers and amongst his peers. The best of the best. Above all that- I was honored to have called Steve my friend. He will be missed sorely. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. ”
