“Carolyn and family,
I was one of those challenging students that was lucky enough to have Mr. Kruger as my principal. I spent lots of time with him and he would always have a way to make me want to do better as to not disappoint him. I still remember when I was on vacation in Spencer and he asked for volunteers at Bethany Lutheran for a Habitat for Humanity house in Everly. I just felt that I should help because it was him asking. I really enjoyed catching up with the both of you during that project. He was a great man that I could only hope to emulate all the good he gave to this world. We have lost a great man that will truly be missed for all that he has accomplished. Take care my friend until we meet again.”

“What a kind soul. What he has done for us and many families. My son missed his bus so decided to walk home. We were panicking and Mr Kruger said he would look for him. My family split up to find him and contacted the police. Mr Kruger found him by Higgins mansion. He was walking to his dad's work close to UPS. That's a long way. Mr Kruger brought him home safely. He went out of his way to search with us. Forever grateful 🙏 ”
