Gerry Lee Tuttle, the son of Harry and Josephine (Black) Tuttle, was born October 2, 1938 in Spencer, Iowa.  His childhood years were spent in Spencer, where he received his education, graduating from Spencer High School.  After his schooling, he entered the military and served with the U.S. Navy until his honorable discharge.

     Gerry married Patricia Ann Nelson on January 2, 1960 in Spencer.  After their marriage, they remained in Spencer, where he worked as a manager for UPS for 30 years until his retirement in 1995.  They moved to Lake Okoboji in their retirement, and he enjoyed fishing and relaxing at their lake home.  He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan for many years.

     Gerry passed away at his home on East Lake Okoboji on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the age of 83.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dean; and one step granddaughter.

     He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Okoboji; three daughters: Sherry Tuttle Donnahoo of Okoboji, IA, Jennifer (Henry) Carlson of Sioux Falls, SD and Michele (Del) Goddard of Lakeville, MN; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; one step granddaughter; two step great grandchildren; one sister, Janet Allen of Spencer, IA; his in-laws: Janice (Jack) Moore, Roger (Linda) Nelson and Jerry (Norene) Nelson; other relatives and many friends.
