Jason “Jay” Dean Adams, the son of Albert and Mary Ann (Kirschbaum) Adams was born April 22, 1970 in Spencer, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Spencer area, where he attended school and graduated from Spencer High School in 1989.

Jay moved to Lincoln, NE where he worked at a Lumberyard with his brother before moving back to Spencer in 1991, and drove truck for A&M Laundry. He married Ange in 1996 and to this union they had a daughter, Tori. They later divorced. He drove truck for Martin Bros. and Dr. Pepper. Jay enjoyed watching the New Orleans Saints and Nebraska Huskers. He was very fond of his dog Miley and spending time with his family. He was a jack of all trades and a master of none and was known for his stubbornness and sense of humor.

Jay passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the age of 52 at his home in Spencer. He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, and a cousin, Mike Hynes.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Tori (Blaine) Johnson of Spencer, IA; one brother, Todd (Angie) Adams of Spencer, IA; one sister, Jill (Paul) Schultz of Spencer, IA; 4 nephews, Tanner, Austin, Dylan, and Mason; one niece, Kelsea; his dog Miley; other relatives; and friends.

He will be remembered as a beloved dad, uncle, brother, and friend; easy going, best advice giver, along with a great listener; and a smile we will miss forever.

A Celebration of Life, will take place 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 28, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
